Directions

From Atlanta:

Option 1:

Take I-85 North to the S.C. line.

Take Exit 1 onto Hwy. 11 (Westminster/Walhalla)

Turn Left onto SC-11. (19.7 miles)

Merge onto SC-28 W via the ramp on the Left. (9.3 miles)

Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto SC-107. (approx 24 miles)

Continue on Hwy 107 through NC to the second traffic light in Cashiers.

At the second light, turn right onto Hwy 64 East for approximately 2 miles. After you pass the Ingles shopping center on your left, you will begin to go down a hill passing Cedar Creek Racquet Club on the left. At the bottom of the hill, turn left on Cedar Creek Road. Climb the hill for approx. 2.3 miles.

At the summit of the mountain, you will come to an intersection. Turn right onto Breedlove Road. towards Panthertown Valley National Forest..

Continue for a 1.2 miles, passing the Fowler family tree farms. The second water feature on the left is Wolf Lake (directly across from the High Hemlock community sign). The Chinquapin Office is located just above the lake.

From Atlanta:

Option 2:

Take I-85 North out of Atlanta towards Greenville.

Take I-985 towards Gainesville. This will become GA 365.

Continue on 365 as it changes to 441 N.

Just beyond the town of Dillard, GA take a right onto GA 246.

GA 246 will become NC 106 at the NC state line.  Follow this road directly into Highlands, NC.

At the signal in Highlands (106/64E), turn right.

You will drive 2 blocks and take a left at the signal.

You will now be on Hwy 64 East driving towards Cashiers. Continue on Hwy. 64 for about 10 minutes until you drive into the town of Cashiers. At the signal, go straight for approximately 2 miles.

After you pass the Ingles shopping center on your left, you will begin to go down a hill passing Cedar Creek Racquet Club on the left. At the bottom of the hill, turn left on Cedar Creek Road. Climb the hill for approx. 2.3 miles.

At the summit of the mountain, you will come to an intersection. Turn right onto Breedlove Road. towards Panthertown Valley National Forest..

Continue for a 1.2 miles, passing the Fowler family tree farms. The second water feature on the left is Wolf Lake (directly across from the High Hemlock community sign). The Chinquapin Office is located just above the lake.

From Birmingham

I 20 to Atlanta and I 85N or take I 285N around to I 85 N (depending on the traffic)

Take I-85 North out of Atlanta towards Greenville.

Take I-985 towards Gainesville. This will become GA 365.

Continue on 365 as it changes to 441 N.

Just beyond the town of Dillard, GA take a right onto GA 246.

GA 246 will become NC 106 at the NC state line.  Follow this road directly into Highlands, NC.

From Charlotte

I 85 to Chesnee to exit for Highway 11

Highway 11W to SC130

Turn right on SC130 (130 will make a left turn) and follow to NC107

Turn right on NC107 and continue to the traffic light in Cashiers (HWY 64/107)

At the signal At the signal, turn right on 64E. You will continue on Hwy 64 E for approximately 2 miles.

After you pass the Ingles shopping center on your left, you will begin to go down a hill passing Cedar Creek Racquet Club on the left. At the bottom of the hill, turn left on Cedar Creek Road. Climb the hill for approx. 2.3 miles.

From Greenville, SC

SC 25N to Highway 11W

SC 11W to SC 130

Turn right on SC130 (130 will make a left turn) and follow to NC107

Turn right on NC107 and continue to the main signal in Cashiers (HWY 64/107)

At the signal, turn right onto Hwy 64E. You will continue on Hwy 64 E for approximately 2 miles.

After you pass the Ingles shopping center on your left, you will begin to go down a hill passing Cedar Creek Racquet Club on the left. At the bottom of the hill, turn left on Cedar Creek Road. Climb the hill for approx. 2.3 miles.

From Hendersonville

64W to Brevard (64W turns left through Brevard).

Follow 64W to Cedar Creek Road. Cedar Creek is located on the right side of the road just beyond Sapphire Stables. Turn right onto Cedar Creek Road and climb the hill for approx. 2.3 miles.

At the summit of the mountain, you will come to an intersection. Turn right onto Breedlove Road. towards Panthertown Valley National Forest..

From Asheville Airport

Turn right out of the Airport towards NC 280W to Brevard (approx. 19 miles)

280W turns into 64W driving into Brevard.

Continue straight past Brevard College on your left. (Do not take the 64W truck exit to the right.)

Continue up the town hill, through two signals.

At the third signal bear right following the 64W/Cashiers-Highlands directional sign.

Follow 64W to Cedar Creek Road. Cedar Creek is located on the right side of the road just beyond Sapphire Stables. Turn right onto Cedar Creek Road and climb the hill for approx. 2.3 miles.

At the summit of the mountain, you will come to an intersection. Turn right onto Breedlove Road. towards Panthertown Valley National Forest..

From Asheville I-40

I 40W to Waynesville, NC exit 19/74 to Sylva

Take US-23 exit ramp towards NC-107/Cullowhee/WNC Univ. Drive 1.4 miles (Left at the 2nd signal) to 107S

Turn left on 107S

Continue on 107S for approx. 24 miles to Lake the only traffic signal in Cashiers. At the light, turn left onto Hwy 64E for approximately two miles. After you pass the Ingles shopping center on your left, you will begin to go down a hill passing Cedar Creek Racquet Club on the left. At the bottom of the hill, turn left on Cedar Creek Road. Climb the hill for approx. 2.3 miles.

At the summit of the mountain, you will come to an intersection. Turn right onto Breedlove Road. towards Panthertown Valley National Forest..

From Knoxville

I 40E to Waynesville, NC exit 19/74 to Sylva

Take US-23 exit ramp towards NC-107/Cullowhee/WNC Univ.

Drive 1.4 miles (Left at the 2nd signal) to 107S.

From South Florida

Take I-26 west past Spartanburg to scenic Highway 11.

Take left on Scenic Highway 11 West.

Take Scenic Highway 11 to Highway 130 (you will pass over Lake Keowee/Lake Jocassee) then start looking for Highway 130 to the right (North)

Take Highway 130 up the mountains to Highway 107 to Cashiers (there will be a sign “to highway 107-left to Cashiers”).

Take right on North 107. Continue on Hwy 107 until you reach the only traffic signal in Cashiers. At the light, turn right onto Hwy 64E for approximately two miles. After you pass the Ingles shopping center on your left, you will begin to go down a hill passing Cedar Creek Racquet Club on the left. At the bottom of the hill, turn left on Cedar Creek Road. Climb the hill for approx. 2.3 miles.
