Champions for Charity
One of the many charitable activities Chinquapin hosted in 2008 was the Champions for Charity Skins Game. The tournament was held to honor the grand opening of the Nature's Walk Golf Course at Chinquapin and raise money for four local charities in Cashiers / Highlands.
Morris Hatalsky (the designer of the Nature's Walk course), Graham Marsh, Don Pooley, and Dave Stockton squared off in a skins format to represent one of the following charities: the Albert Carlton/Cashiers Community Library; the Cashiers/Glenville Fire Department, the Serenity Chapel, and Friends of Panthertown. The four players raved about the course while the crowds enjoyed the competition and the golf clinic at the state of the art Golf Learning Center.
